On November 1st, 2023, I presented several pictures to the Environmental Commissioners during their meeting. It is well-known that the creek banks in Zilker Park are in a poor condition.

This past week, a living tree has fallen into Barton Creek; the location is just north of the Zilker Boat Rentals concession.
Lou Neff Point remains in a vulnerable state: The lone tree on Lou Neff Point could similarly be lost.
I ask City Council Members to adequately fund the remediation of the creek banks -- including a robust study of drainage problems and solutions to reduce future erosion -- for the FY24-25.
